Creative Director & Founder of Tunez Magazine. Defining the new Tunisian cultural vanguard.
Since 2021, I have been building a cultural media house from Tunis. Tunez, a family of publications, studios, and objects that argue for a modern North Africa on its own terms.
The founding publication. A quarterly print and digital review chronicling the new Tunisian vanguard: fashion, art, music, politics of taste.

A creative production house building narrative campaigns and moving image for global houses that want to speak fluently to North Africa.

The label and residency programme reintroducing Tunisian club culture: an archive of sound, silhouettes, and after-hours rooms.

A long-term research and archival initiative collecting, mapping, and publishing Tunisian visual memory, oral histories, and cultural documents.

An ongoing atlas: one thousand and one stories from across Tunisia, told through cartography, calligraphy, and long-form voice.

Recent cultural projects, collaborations and participations. A curated archive rather than a portfolio.

Hedy Ben Hmida is a founder, publisher, and creative director working between Tunis and Paris. He built Tunez Magazine as a refusal of tired representation, of second-hand narratives, of the idea that culture from this side of the Mediterranean requires translation to matter.
Under his direction, Tunez has grown from a single quarterly into an ecosystem: a magazine, a studio, a record label, a marketplace, an architecture journal, an oral archive. Each project holds itself to editorial rigour and cinematic craft.
He operates as a director of taste, commissioning writers, photographers, musicians, and designers whose work insists on a Tunisian modernism that is confident, contemporary, and unapologetically luxurious.
Whether it's a collaboration, a campaign, or just a conversation about culture: let's find time to talk.
